The SEC hosted the inaugural Halal Food Festival, welcoming families and foodies from across Scotland for a vibrant celebration of culinary diversity, culture, and community.

Beyond the food, the festival featured family-friendly activities and hands-on cultural experiences designed to appeal to all ages and backgrounds. Lifestyle and artisan stalls offered a wide range of products, from clothing and educational resources to supplements and unique gifts.

The SEC played a pivotal role in bringing this unique event to Glasgow, providing the perfect venue with a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate street food vendors and deliver a fully immersive experience.

“This is a cultural event. It invites everyone. We want to represent ourselves to a wider community - we want other cultures to come and see what we're all about. The SEC felt like we were representing on a mainstream level, on a huge level. There's a variety of vendors that are participating and that can only be done with a big space.

Our own community can get excited, but the only way that they can get super excited is if the mainstream media picks up on it. And without that push from the SEC marketing team, we wouldn't have been able to get coverage in some of the places that we did.”
