New Business? Nae Bother!

As June approaches, in Glasgow that is cause for celebration as the rain becomes marginally warmer. I jest (honest).  While not a traditionally busy period for indoor venues as major events begin to brave the great outdoors, the Scottish Event Campus continues to buck the trend as this summer as we welcome an eclectic and headline grabbing event schedule.  From WWE Friday Night Smackdown (14 & 15 June at the OVO Hydro) to Beyond Van Gogh (11 July-8 Aug at SEC) to the iconic Stevie Nicks (6 August at the OVO Hydro), we are flexing our marketing muscle and doing what we enjoy – making a difference for our clients and supporting them in selling their events.

In the Exhibition space, we look forward to welcoming Beyond Van Gogh, a stunning immersive experience.  Having been successfully hosted across the world, the organisers have chosen the SEC as the host venue for its first time in Scotland.

The event is well known and always a hot ticket, which, as a marketing department focused on selling tickets, is a great start. However, as with all events, we are committed to ensuring its success and look forward to supporting it digitally and socially. Our efforts will connect the city and country with the show, continually raising its profile.

As Scotland’s national event destination, we welcome over 1.7 million visitors annually (2023) across all sectors. This vast audience provides us with a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse group of visitors through our digital, social, and in-venue assets.

As a marketing team, we take great satisfaction in seeing tickets sell, profiles being raised, and products being launched successfully as a result of our activations. We collaborate with media partners and local outlets to widen our reach because we understand our market and know what it takes to meet objectives and support our clients effectively.

In June, the SEC will once again sponsor the Best Marketing Campaign at the AEO Awards because this is something we, as a business, simply enjoy getting right and that feels good. Congratulations to the nominees in this category; we look forward to learning more about your undoubtedly inspirational campaign work. In addition to experienced exhibitors who work with us at the SEC, a major cause for celebration is the range of new boutique and niche events that have joined us over the past year. New business? Nae bother. As a Marketing Team and as a business, this is a compelling part of the SEC’s recent success, and it is something we are looking forward to continuing to support.

If your business has yet to make the leap of Scottish faith, jump. We are here to catch you, guide you through the process, make media introductions, and supply you with proposals on what your marketing campaign could look like to an untapped Scottish audience.

We look forward to working with you and, when you visit us, we will be proud to show you our incredible city.
