World Federation of Hemophilia

Earlier this year, the Scottish Event Campus hosted the WFH 2018 Congress. Over 5,000 delegates from 136 countries attended the event, which is the largest international meeting for the global bleeding disorders community.

From 20-24 May, delegates were engaged in 87 sessions in spaces across the campus including the SEC Armadillo and Loch Suite.

Delegates included doctors, scientists, healthcare workers, people with bleeding disorders and hemophilia organisations who gathered to learn about the latest developments in bleeding disorders treatment and care, as well as to discuss, to debate and to contribute to a strong global organisation and community.

As part of the venue’s commitment to this event, it hosted training sessions in partnership with Glasgow Welcomes to educate those involved with the conference – from hotel staff to taxi drivers and venue staff – about how to help people with bleeding disorders and how to make their time in Glasgow as comfortable as possible.
